The word “innovation” is on its way to being overused and misused. Simply put, innovation is nothing more than change in a positive direction. It is applicable to all individuals, businesses, products, services, organizations and more. CBRIC’s mandate is to create and maintain a culture for employees and employers to recognize, understand and embrace innovation as not only a part of everyday life but also a source of advancement in their work and even personal life.
Another equally important part of creating this spirit of continuous innovation is documentation. What works and what didn’t work, causes and effects, objectives served and new objectives found are important information that will be useful to reference in the future – so that we don’t essentially try to reinvent the wheel.
Continuous innovation means continuous learning. Continuous learning means continuous improvement. Continuous improvement means continuous progress. Where we are today and in the future will always depend on the stepping stones of the past.
